Anyway, after the last two episodes of ADTV RAW, I wasn’t sure if I was going to be ready for this week’s. Surprisingly I wasn’t really let down. I am absolutely in love with Matthew’s crazy ass. This episode consists of Matthew and Metrell answering questions from Twitter and email. Overall the episode was enjoyable. Metrell has a horrible habit of cutting Matthew off though. First, let me give you all some background information. My mother works for the United States Postal Service and is an extremely personable woman. She’s one of those people who remembers names and faces, always smiling, makes solid relationships with people, and for some reason, one of those people others feel comfortable enough to share just about anything with.

Anyway, yesterday a woman walked into the post office to send a package to her son for his birthday. My mom knows her because she’s a regular customer. The woman shared that on Valentine’s Day she woke up feeling really down. For the last four years her son, who is now a Freshman at Baylor University, had gotten her the same bouquet of flowers her husband used to get her before he died. This was the first year the son wasn’t home for Valentine’s Day so he wasn’t able to continue the tradition. She went on about her day before receiving a phone call from her son. He asked her where she was, and she told him that she was out. He told her she needed to get home because he’d ordered shoes for his birthday and someone needed to be home to sign the package. When she got home her son had someone deliver the flowers he had gotten her for the four years previously. My mom said all the lady could do was cry.

I am a sucker for stories like this. With everything being such a competition these days, it’s easy to forget the importance of the little things. Feel free to share this story with people you know. Kudos to the son.
